The Biscayan company H2SITE is advancing its international growth strategy by strengthening its Norwegian subsidiary and developing a new project focused on hydrogen production for the maritime sector.
H2SITE, specialising in technologies that convert ammonia and other carriers into high-purity hydrogen, consolidates its presence in a key market for the decarbonisation of maritime transport through this international expansion milestone.
From its plant in Bizkaia, H2SITE has developed solutions to facilitate the use of hydrogen in industrial and heavy-duty mobility applications.
International expansion strategy
The project, to be developed in Bergen, Norway, will enable the validation of hydrogen production systems on board ships, in collaboration with local port and maritime agents. This initiative is part of the strong boost the Nordic country is giving to technologies linked to the energy transition, helping reduce emissions in maritime transport.
The international expansion of H2SITE reflects the evolution of a technology company born in Bizkaia, which, after completing its initial development phases, is now moving towards international projects.
Thus, with this new step in Norway, H2SITE strengthens its position in the hydrogen sector and continues to expand its activities to deploy sustainable energy solutions in strategic markets.
