Nneat, the Basque startup specialising in cybersecurity, has just completed a funding round involving seed Capital Bizkaia, through Fondo I, Easo Ventures, Basque Fondo and BBK Fundazaioa, to support the European expansion of a platform capable of measuring the actual exposure of organisations to digital threats.
Nneat—a spin-off of the Versia group—founded a year ago, has gained attention in the sector after introducing an AI solution that enables companies and institutions to visualise their exposure to active threats in real time. This innovative approach is generating interest both within the state and across other European markets.
Its technology, based on continuous and automated analysis, addresses the rising demand for tools that can anticipate increasingly sophisticated cyberattacks.
The case of Nneat highlights the importance of the Basque ecosystem as a benchmark in critical technologies, particularly in fields like cybersecurity, where global demand is increasing rapidly.
Boosting the company’s global growth
This new round of funding secured by the company will allow Nneat to accelerate its growth and strengthen its team to tackle the challenges of international expansion. The company plans to speed up its development and growth in the United Kingdom and Germany.
Nneat’s progress confirms that startups within the environment possess strong value propositions, capable of attracting investment and competing in highly specialised sectors.
Seed Capital Bizkaia’s Fondo I
Fondo I supports the development and growth of innovative business projects in their early stages. This fund aims to promote initiatives with a technological foundation and growth potential, thereby assisting their access to financing and support as they progress towards later phases of consolidation and expansion.
Seed Capital Bizkaia reaffirms its commitment to supporting innovative initiatives and fostering a favourable environment for new technology companies to develop, expand, and generate economic and social impact in the territory. The growth of companies such as Nneat helps to establish a more resilient and diverse business landscape focused on strategic sectors.
