Barbara IoT, a technology company specialising in cybersecurity and intelligent management of critical infrastructure, has closed a strategic funding round of 4.5 million euros.
This new economic boost will enable Barbara IoT to accelerate its international expansion, with a focus on Europe, the Middle East and the United States, and to consolidate its technology for the secure and scalable management of distributed assets across sectors such as energy, mobility, industry and telecommunications.
Barbara IoT develops a platform that facilitates the deployment of artificial intelligence and advanced applications directly at the edge of the network, ensuring security, resilience and regulatory compliance. This capability is particularly relevant in contexts where critical infrastructure requires solutions that combine on-premises processing, cyberthreat protection, and real-time operation.
This round will enable the scaling up of international projects and the strengthening of its presence in markets where the digitisation of networks and distributed assets is a priority.
A milestone for the Basque innovation ecosystem
This round reinforces Barbara IoT’s position as a key player in the secure digitisation of critical infrastructure and demonstrates once again the potential of innovative companies emerging in this region. The entry of global investors bolsters the company’s technological strategy, opening new opportunities for its expansion into additional markets.
