Seed Capital Bizkaia continues to advance in its commitment to a more sustainable and innovative economic model. The public company has added Revenant, a leading company in the sustainable remanufacturing of heavy machinery, to its portfolio of investees through Fund I, an instrument aimed at promoting early-stage projects with a strong innovative component.
Promoting a new industrial model
The incorporation of Seed Capital Bizkaia into this round of financing, together with Easo Ventures, Orza, and Itzarri EPSV, will enable Revenant to tackle its next phase of growth: the opening of a new plant in Gordexola. This infrastructure will allow it to double its production capacity, enhance its design and innovation processes, and incorporate new product lines focused on sustainability.
Technology, circularity, and industrial decarbonization
Revenant has become one of the most innovative companies in the Basque industrial environment. Its business model is based on the remanufacturing of heavy machinery, a process by which industrial equipment at the end of its useful life is restored and optimized, thus recovering the performance levels of new equipment.
In addition to applying advanced technologies in electronics, sensors, and performance control, Revenant is committed to replacing conventional engines with biogas-powered engines, which directly contributes to the decarbonization of the sector and the promotion of a high value-added circular economy.
Commitment to the future
With this operation, Seed Capital Bizkaia continues to support technological, sustainable, and scalable projects which, like Revenant, provide real solutions to the major challenges of today: climate change, energy efficiency, and industrial transformation.
