Through the Innopet programme, Leartiker has demonstrated the potential to integrate insect-derived proteins, which offer a high-quality nutritional profile and a reduced environmental impact.

The technology centre has developed wet-food prototypes for dogs and cats that have shown very positive results in terms of nutritional value, stability, texture and sensory acceptance.

These investigations place Bizkaia in a prominent position within a growing global sector.
